What are Demon Pro Turbos?

Demon Pro Turbos are a hybrid High-Flow Turbos with two massive advantages:

  1. They will bolt directly onto a stock setup and perform like a stock turbo charger, even though they have larger compressor wheels.
  2. The internal makeup, bearing set and materials of the turbo far surpasses turbos built for stock levels of boost, meaning they can also be boosted up to around 24psi, with ultra quick spool and factory reliability.

 

Whats wrong with the OEM Turbo?

It's not so much the actual Garrett turbo that is the issue on the ZD30... One of the most common faults for the Nissan Patrol ZD30 turbos is the oem boost controller setup. It's not uncommon to see the factory turbo spike to over 20psi during normal cruising. This in turn causes the original Garrett turbo to over spool and eventually wear down the thrust washers and bearing set. For this exact reason, we highly recommend picking up a Tillix Boost Controller kit and having a Tuner both install and setup the kit!

The original turbo also doesn't take to boost very well, along with the boost controller issue, increasing the pressure on the stock turbo is never a good idea, so upgrading to an aftermarket High-Flow tubro that can handle the load will always be a more reliable setup.

In the case that your original ZD30 turbo has failed, the Demon Pro turbo will bolt straight on with the included gaskets and work without any issues on the stock tune, but can also be wound up to 24 psi reliably!

Upgraded Rear Turbine Wheel - This ready turbine wheel has be redesigned to allow for better flow around the VNT setup. It is also much lighter than the factory rear turbine setup.
